The Golden Circle
Sinek introduces the concept of the Golden Circle, which consists of three layers: WHY, HOW, and WHAT. Most organizations operate from the outside in, starting with WHAT they do, then HOW they do it, and finally, if at all, WHY they do it. However, inspired leaders and organizations operate from the inside out. This approach aligns with human biology, as the part of the brain that controls decision-making is also responsible for feelings and is not capable of language. Therefore, when organizations communicate from the inside out, they speak directly to the part of the brain that drives behavior.
