Removing the Veil of Self-Life
Tozer discusses the metaphorical veil of self-life that separates believers from experiencing the full presence of God. 'Self is the opaque veil that hides the Face of God from us.' To experience God fully, one must undergo a painful process of self-crucifixion, allowing the cross to do its work within us, involving a deep, personal surrender and a willingness to let go of self-centered aspects of our nature.
